PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incubator capable of quickly and accurately changing a temperature of reacting material and improved in operating efficiency and durability. SOLUTION: This incubator 1 is installed with a heat conductive reaction block 3 for holding reaction samples, a heat conductive heating block 4, a heat conductive cooling block 5 and a transfer means for bringing the reaction block into selective contact with the heating block and the cooling block, and equipped with a Peltier element 7 for heating the heating block by radiating surface, a Pertier element 8 for cooling the cooling block by cooling surface and a heat conductive connection material 13 for connecting the cooling surface of the Peltier element 7 and the radiating surface of the Peltier element 8.
