PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the failure of disconnection of an adjustment valve even when a valve is continuously closed for a long time by temporarily opening the adjustment valve during the control for closing the adjustment valve for adjusting the brake hydraulic pressure to each wheel. SOLUTION: A hydraulic unit 4 comprises a pressure valve 41 for pressing each brake 2 by the pressurized liquid through a first hydraulic pipe line 22a or a second hydraulic pipe line 22b, and its opening is adjusted to be increased and degreased corresponding to the command from a SCS controller to increase and decrease the braking force. The pressure valve 41 is opened and closed by switching on and off a transistor connected to each driving motor. The failure of disconnection of the pressure valve 41 can be judged by observing a monitor voltage by forcibly switching the transistor from on to off for a predetermined time even when the transistor is switched on and the closing of the pressure valve 41 is continued for a long time.
