PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a projection cycle in projecting a pulse light periodically to speed up measurement. SOLUTION: A distance-measuring apparatus 1 which outputs object distance data by measuring a time from a projection time point to a reception time point of a pulse light has a plurality of light sources for projecting the pulse light, and an optical member for making optical axes of pulse lights projected from the plurality of light sources agree, whereby the plurality of light sources are made to emit light at mutually different timings. The plurality of light sources of different emission wavelengths are used and the received lights are split, so that the pulse lights are identified for each light source. Even when a next pulse light is projected without waiting for the pulse light projected before to be received, a reciprocatory propagation time of each pulse light can be measured.
