PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently quickly refrigerate with a small-sized constitution by folding and moving an article to a refrigerating conveyor by using a hanging conveyor. SOLUTION: A cold air circulating unit 21 is driven, cold air generated by a heat exchanger 22 is sucked by a scroll fan 23, and discharged to a cold air circulating space provided at a side of a refrigerating conveyor 3 in a deep freezing chamber 1. Further, a hanging conveyor 5 is operated by a driver 12, and an article to be deeply frozen is placed on an article receiving plate 9 from an article conveyor 2. The article placed on the plate 9 is conveyed into the chamber 1, moved to an upper portion, and then moved down to fold the conveyor 3 in a zigzag state. While moving the conveyor 3, the article is cooled and refrigerated. The cold air after cooling the article is guided again to the exchanger 22 through the space. The article frozen in the conveyor 3 is guided to an article delivery unit 4, and taken out from the plate 9.
