<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable high image density with high durability and low fog by incorporating a specified binder resin. SOLUTION: The toner contains a binder resin and an imidazole compd. At least a vinyl resin containing carboxyl groups and a polyfunctional epoxy compd. or the like having two or more epoxides in one molecule are incorporated into the binder resin. The acid value of the binder resin component in the toner is specified to 0.5 to 50 mg KOH/g. The imidazole compd. contains an imidazole unit expressed by the formula. In the formula, each of R1, R3 and R4 is a hydrogen atom or a group elected from alkyl groups having no substituent, R2 is a group elected from alkyl groups having substituents, R1, R3 and R4 may be connected to the imidazole unit through connecting groups selected from a phenylene group or the like, and R3 and R4 may be coupled to form an aromatic ring or heterocycle.</p> |
