Classifier comprises a dispersing and classifying unit (12) with a dispersing device (8) and a drum (11); a charging unit for introducing powdered material into the unit (12); an additional vessel (25) for the dispersing liquid and the suspension to be classified; a feeding and removal system between the additional vessel and the dispersing and classifying unit; a removal system for the removed coarse component form the dispersing and classifying unit; a storage vessel (31) for the classified suspension; and a removal system for the classified suspension from the dispersing and classifying unit to the storage vessel.
