A sterilizable, skin-compatible adhesive tape comprises a polymeric carrier (A) coated on both sides with pressure-sensitive adhesive (B). A sterilizable, skin-compatible adhesive tape comprises a polymeric carrier (A) coated on both sides with pressure-sensitive adhesive (B). (A) (area weight 60-100 g/m<2>) contains 4-12C alkyl (meth)acrylate (65-75 wt. %), vinyl carboxylic acid (10-20 wt. %) and vinyl aromatic compound (5-15 wt. %). (B) (area weight 30-50 g/m<2>) is a mixture of (B1) (50-80 wt. %) and (B2) (20-50 wt. %). (B1) contains 4-12C alkyl (meth)acrylate (73-85 wt. %), vinyl carboxylic acid (5-15 wt. %), methacrylate (4-8 wt. %), di- or triacrylate (0.2-0.5 wt. %) and hydrogenated colophony (2-4 wt. %) based on balsam resin or tall resin. (B2) contains 4-12C alkyl (meth)acrylate (75-85 wt. %), vinyl carboxylic acid (10-20 wt. %), methacrylate (2-6 wt. %) and hydrogenated colophony (0.5-2 wt. %) as in (B1).
