PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic powder having epoxy groups on its surface and its production method and use. SOLUTION: This inorganic powder having epoxy groups on its surface is produced by treating the surface of an inorganic powder with a polyepoxide compound containing no metal and a compound having a functional group such as an amino or carboxyl group. The surface treatment is conducted at 80-230 deg.C in an inert gas atmosphere. An inorganic powder to be surface-treated is a powder of silicon oxide, titanium oxide or aluminum oxide, and the surface treatment is done by a dry process. The inorganic powder having epoxy groups on its surface is used as an additive for resins.
