HIGH BRIGHTNESS LIGHT IRRADIATION DEVICE

PURPOSE: A high brightness light irradiation device is provided to make a simple and light weight support member for dielectric barrier discharge lamp so as to make assembly and change easy. CONSTITUTION: A high brightness light irradiation device comprising a light penetrating dielectric outer tube(11) and a dielectric inner tube(12) which are concentrically arranged. A dielectric barrier discharge lamp(1) having a discharge space(14) which filled with a rare gas is surrounded by the both end walls(13). A light penetrating outer electrode(21) is formed on the surface of the light penetrating dielectric outer tube(11). An inner side electrode(22) is formed on the surface of the light penetrating dielectric inner tube(12). An AC power is applied to the outer electrode(21) and the inner electrode(22). A metal pole(3) having an outer diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the dielectric inner tube(12), is shield the both end of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp(1). A clamp member(4) has an insertion through hole for the metal pole(3). The clamp member(4) which supported by a metal pole(3) is clamping the both end of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp(1).
