PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyester monofilaments that can give woven fabrics having excellent quality and high grade of woven faces with reduced dynamic friction coefficient between the filament and the metal and provide woven fabrics that have smooth process passage and largely increased weaving efficiency by reducing the accumulation amount of the finishing oil dropping from the monofilaments and the scum of the filament shaved off during the warping and weaving steps. SOLUTION: The polyester monofilaments are treated with a finishing oil mainly comprising an ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide copolymer with a molecular weight of 5,000-40,000 as the main active ingredient on the filament surfaces. The objective industrial woven fabrics are produced by weaving the polyester monofilaments. The resultant industrial woven fabrics can be widely used for a variety of applications, for example, the paper-making drier canvas, the paper-making wires, a various kinds of filters, conveyer belts and the like. |
