PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carton open and transport equipment which does not scratch the carton when opening and shaping the carton for opening a flatly folded carton in a prismatic shape with a rectangular cross section. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with first and second sucking means for sucking separately a pair of outside faces facing opposite direction to each other of a flatly folded carton 21, a means for working the first and second sucking means until the carton 21 is folded in the opposite direction forming a reversely arranged condition from an initially folded condition passing an open condition with a rectangular cross section, a means for placing the carton 21 between a pair of parallel first and second conveyors while keeping the carton 21 in the reversely arranged condition, and a front tab 31 and a back tab 41 touching separately to the front and back face of the carton 21 in its transport direction for receiving the same elastically when the same is restored elastically in the opening condition with a rectangular cross section in the first and second conveyors.
