A dielectric resonator which has a strip line based either on an external area/surface of a dielectric layer (1) by providing a slotted electrode (2) with a spiral shaped slot/slit or within the dielectric layer which is received by deforming the entire form of the same into a mainly rectangular form, and a shield conductor (3) which is provided in a predetermined gap/spacing by the slotted electrode, in which case the strip line is used as a resonance line. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an inductor, a capacitor, a dielectric filter, and an oscillator. (2) a communication device using the above elements.
