PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch that uses a same panel surface regardless of existence of option equipment and does not damage design property of a panel surface. SOLUTION: A signal power supply circuit 31 on the rear surface side of a panel surface 70 makes pulse current flow through a first pair of coils 61, 62 facingly arranged sandwiching the panel surface 70, to generate induced electromotive force in a switch operation portion 10 on the front surface side of the panel surface 70. When a circuit 20 of the switch operation portion 10 is in an closing ON state, this induced electromotive force makes induced current flow through the circuit 20, and generates induced electromotive force in a coil 63 on a response signal detecting circuit 32 side. The response signal detecting circuit 32 detects existence of the induced electromotive force in this coil 63 as a response signal from the switch operation portion 10, and determines operation state of the switch operation portion 10.
