<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve contacting efficiency of water to be treated with active carbon without being influenced with suspended substances(SS) by providing exchangably a means for removing the suspended substances(SS) and impurities just before the active carbon directly stored in a container part. SOLUTION: In an active carbon treating apparatus a9 for treating treated water by a biological treating means, a storing part 4 for active carbon 100 placed between upper and lower net bodies 13b and 13b for partition is partitioned in a vertically long storing part 3 whose top and bottom ends are opened and a space 4a with a required height is provided between the upper side net 13b for partition in the storing part 4 and the active carbon 100 to directly store the active carbon 100 and a filter 5 for removing the suspended substances is removably provided in the vertically long container part 3 belowe the lower side net 13b for partition and the vertically long container part 3 is stored under standing condition in a storing tank a10 for the treated water and the treated water is pumped up from the bottom end side of the vertically long container part 3 by means of a submergible circulation pump 7 and the treated water is passed through the active carbon 100 after it is passed through the filter.</p> |
