SOLUTION: Before normally driving a cold cathode electron emitting element driven by voltage of ordinary driving voltage not more than Vi, pulse voltage having a wave height value being voltage Vs not more than Vf is applied in the first place, and afterwards, there is applied a pulse voltage having a wave height value that changes until the wave height value becomes voltage Vmax not less than Vi, and after applying pulse voltage having a wave height value of Vmax by one time or more, ordinary driving is performed.</p> |
