PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a composition result in real time and to improve the usability by an operator by providing a means which generates indicator information for displaying a composite image, a means which composes a panoramic image by using a difference image and a movement quantity. SOLUTION: A user informs an arithmetic processor 116 of transition to a state wherein panoramic composition is performed in real time first by using an input device 120. The arithmetic processor 116 when entering the panoramic photography mode inputs the video signal outputted from a video camera part 100, frame by frame, finds the camera movement quantities of the inputted frame images, and gathers parameters and data needed for the panoramic composition. At this time, a the whole or partial area of a display 112 is set as a preview screen for confirming the composition state and the state of a composite image which is connected in timing to the movement of the camera is updated and displayed in real time. |
