PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet ink excellent in printability and swear fastness by mixing a latex polymer, hexynediol and octanediol. SOLUTION: This ink jet ink comprises (A) one or more latex polymer such as a core/shell polymer of the formula [A is a hydrophobic component contributing to characteristics for forming coating films; B is a hydrophobic solvent barrier; C is a hydrophilic component; D is a UV light absorbent; E is a portion having a highly polar functional group; (m), (n) are each 5-95 wt.%; (p) is 0-60 wt.%; (q) is 0-50 wt.%; (r) is 0-40 wt.%; (m)+(n)+(p)+(q)+(r)=100 wt.%; (x) is 1-100,000] preferably in an amount of 0.5-5 wt.%, (B) 3-hexyne-2,5-diol preferably in an amount of 1-8 wt.%, and (C) 1,2-octanediol preferably in an amount of 0.01-0.5 wt.%. |
