PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and an image processing method which automatically registers and issues a private box without the intervention of a system manager and whose private box can be utilized by a user from a network. SOLUTION: A unique user ID is issued to a user, a user area corresponding to the user ID is acquired in a storage device 1001a, a password deciding the user is inputted from an operating device 1004 or a network controller 1001b, the password is made to be stored in the user area corresponding to the user ID, whether or not the user is a legal user is decided according to the user ID and the password and the processing of image data in a directory corresponding to the user ID is allowed only to the legal user. |
