PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basic structure efficiently manufactured according to the same process irrespective of existence of installed equipment such as a toilet and a crew room, an intermediate rolling stock constructed of this basic structure, a group of rolling stocks including the intermediate rolling stock, and a manufacturing method of the intermediate rolling stock. SOLUTION: In a basic structure for finishing an intermediate rolling stock 3 or the like, the number and the positions of front and rear entrances 11, windows 12, and seats 13, 14 are uniformly decided, that is, every basic structure is equally constructed, while a space S equivalent to a space for one window 12 is arranged just behind the front entrance 11, and from the back of the space S to just the front side of the rear entrance 11, the windows 12 and the seats 13, 14 are arranged. The intermediate rolling stock 3 is finished by arranging toilets 21, 22 and a washstand 23 inside the space S in the basic structure.
