PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a work by adopting a CVT automatically decelerating due to an increase in load and automatically increasing torque before generation of an engine stop. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a hydraulic gear shift control means 1 performing a gear shift operation of a CTV 7 by performing a far and near operation for a movable pulley piece 15b by feed/discharge of pressure oil and an automatic hydraulic deceleration means J in which a gear shift ratio of the CTV 7 is automatically changed to a deceleration side when driving load for an engine exceeds a prescribed value by change and adjustment of a hydraulic set value in this hydraulic gear shift control means 1.
