A multilayer, biaxially oriented polypropylene film (I) comprises a base layer and at least a sealable top layer. The base layer contains a mixture (II) of resin and wax whereby the resin has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 600-1500 and the wax has number average molecular weight (Mn) of 200-700. An Independent claim is included for the production of (I) by orientation by a stretch ratio in the long and transverse directions of 5:1 - 9:1 and 5:1-10:1 respectively.
