PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an elevator car shortening maintenance and inspection work time by simplifying attachment and detachment of a filter body. SOLUTION: In a cooling device 3 for an elevator car installing a cooling device body 4 on the elevator car 2 to cool the interior of the car 2, the cooling device body 4 and at least part of connecting passages 5, 6 in the car 2 are disposed on the car 2, and a filter body 7 for eliminating dust in the air passing inside the connecting passages 5, 6 is provided at part of the connecting passages 5, 6. The filter body 7 is provided to be detachable from the connecting passages 5, 6 by pulling it out upward.
