PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that rice cultivation requires an intensive labor up to transplantation throughout the processes from seed preparation to harvesting and the once-a-year harvest is uneconomical. SOLUTION: This method for farming rice is composed of dipping a substituting seed 1a in an extract mixed solvent 2 mixed with a vegetable extract obtained by wintering a substituting seed of a knot or a pith of a rice stock harvested in the preceding year or cut to a suitable length at a low temperature at 1-10 deg.C within a degree of not dried and passing a cell membrane through a plant such as a tree before transplanting and extracting presenting a monomolecular water with an organic solvent, pressing or at a reduced pressure or squeezing with an animal extract such as digestive enzyme of an eccrisis of an animal and preserving as a substituting seed into which the solvent is permeated, then directly transplanting to a main field in the last ten days of March when a fall of frost disappears or when the maximum temperature in April becomes equal or higher than 15 deg.C.
