PURPOSE: A system for identifying positions of a portable clock-type terminal is provided to identify the positions by using a global position system(GPS), and to monitor body statuses of old people, weak people, and handicapped people by attaching various sensors sensing body functions to the portable clock-type terminal. CONSTITUTION: A system for identifying positions of a portable clock-type terminal comprises the portable clock-type terminal(100) and a central controlling station(200). The portable clock-type terminal delivers a self-position signal for notifying a self position and delivers a self situation signal for notifying a self situation. The central controlling station monitors a position and a status of the portable clock-type terminal by using the self situation signal, the self position signal, and position information received from outside. The central controlling station delivers an emergent signal if an emergent situation occurs in the portable clock-type terminal. The portable clock-type terminal comprises a transceiver, a data storage, a controller, a displayer, and an alarm. The transceiver transmits and receives various data with the central controlling station. The data storage stores the various data with a self-peculiar number. The controller controls each unit, and generates the self-position signal and the self situation signal. The displayer displays a present position of the portable clock-type terminal according to the controller. If the emergent signal is received from the central controlling station, the alarm alarms the signal to a user according to the controller.
