<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program search method by which programs desired by a user and going to be broadcast in future from a program guide list can automatically be searched and which informs the user of a program when the program coincident with the requirement of the user is found out. SOLUTION: A screen 210 of a television receiver 200 displays a program guide. A consolidated search condition consisting of two separate search conditions that are consolidated together is generated, the program guide is searched as to a program satisfying the consolidated search condition in response to the consolidated search condition and a program satisfying the consolidated search condition is indicated by using the program guide. The separate search conditions are consolidated together by using any of logical operators 'AND', 'OR', and 'NOT'. The separate search conditions relate to any of a program tile, a star of a program, a director, a topic, a theme, and a background.</p> |
