<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a printing plate supporting body by a mechanical rough surface finishing which are advantageous costwise, the same as an embossing by a rolling roll, and by which quality characteristics being equivalent to an electro-chemical surface roughening can be obtained in the manufacture of the printing plate supporting body, and the printing plate supporting body. SOLUTION: This printing plate supporting body comprises an aluminum sheet which is drawn and embossed, and the surface has a plurality of indents, and the average diameter of the indent is 25μm or less, and the elongation percentage (the ratio of the length/width regarding the drawing direction) is 1.5 or less, and the number of the indents is larger than 2,500 pieces/mm2. On the surface of a rolling roll which is used for the embossing, a plurality of round head-shape protrusions having a microscopic dimension and a distribution conforming to the inductive statistics, are formed, and at the same time, the surface has a rough surface shape of which the cross section has a round comb shape.</p> |
