PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking press enabling the marking to the whole thin plate-shaped object to be marked and suppressing the warpage of an object to be marked to mark a character with good readability. SOLUTION: In a marking press applying marking to a thin plate-shaped object 4 to be marked, a front surface stopper 6 and a side surface stopper 7 performing the positioning of the object 4 to be marked by the contact with a part of the side surface of the object 4 to be marked are provided and a work fixing plate 5 fixing the other part of the side surface of the object 4 to be marked is provided so as to be made movable by a cylinder 8. The marking to the object 4 to be marked is performed from the vicinity of the side surface of the object 4 to be marked fixed by the work fixing plate 5. The thickness of the work fixing plate 5, the front surface stopper 6 and the side surface stopper 7 is made almost same to that of the object 4 to be marked.
