PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate type car washing machine having a tire washing system preventing a vehicle from being damaged by erroneous sensing of a tire sensor. SOLUTION: In this car washing machine, a memory storing a tire diameter pulse corresponding to the length of a minimum tire diameter and a wheel length pulse corresponding to the length of a minimum wheel base and a pulse signal from an encoder 12 till a detection termination signal is received after a detection signal of a tire sensor 9 is received judges a tire as one with the tire diameter pulse within the memory or more and outputs a driving signal to a tire brush driving mechanism. Subsequently, a judging means in which a pulse signal from the encoder 12 invalidates the detection signal and detection termination signal of the tire sensor 9 within a wheel length pulse is provided.
