PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a teapot which is improved in tea strainer performance to avoid plugging during pouring hot water by increasing the area of a tea strainer for a teapot mainbody and providing a number of tea strainer holes. SOLUTION: A plane tea strainer body 5 having a large area and a number of tea strainer holes on the inside bottom 3 crosswise equal distances apart from a hot water port 13 opening to the inner wall 2 of a teapot mainbody 1 is vertically provided toward an upward opening 9. Both cross edges 6, 6' and the lower side of the tea strainer 5 are fixed to the inner walls 2, 2 and the inside bottom 3, respectively, and the upper side 8 is located closer to the lower face 12 of a cover. |
