SPACE FUSING DEVICE AND APPLICATION DEVICES ADAPTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved space fusing device for integrating a real space and a virtual space and to obtain various kinds of application devices using the fusing device. SOLUTION: The space fusing device is the one by which a CG image is synthesized with a scene existing in the real visual field of an HMD(head mount display) 1. The device can naturally fuse the real view seen by a user with the CG image and expected for usage in various kinds of fields from now on. It is necessary to correctly detect where the user is at present and to which direction he or she is turned for fusing. In the method, detection is executed by using a way for obtaining a three-dimensional coordinate position from two or more two-dimensional camera images by a geometrical calculation method. The CG image aligned in position with the real view is displayed in a display device 11 inside HMD 1 and the image on the display device 11 is optically synthesized with the scene existing in the real visual field of the HMD 1.
