PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid control valve favourable in controllability with little flow rate change in a slight flow rate control region. SOLUTION: Drain holes 41, 42, 43 of a circular opening shape and the same opening diameter are formed on an external wall of a large diametrical part 15c of a spool 15 with their positions in the axial direction slipped from each other. Consequently, as the drain holes 42, 43 and the opening part 14c are not communicated through to each other in an initial stage where the drain hole 41 and the opening part 14c are communicated through to each other, a flow rate characteristic in a leaking region and a flow rate characteristic in a slight flow rate control region are smoothly connected to each other, and it is possible to attemperate flow rate change immediately after opening of the drain hole 41 and to provide the smooth flow rate characteristic in the slight flow rate control region. Consequently, it is possible to secure a region with little flow rate change and favourable in controllability in the slight flow rate control region. Additionally, since it is possible to attenuate the flow rate change in the slight flow rate control region in simple constitution, the slight flow rate control can be carried out easily and certainly.
