PURPOSE: An unattended investigative method for missing vehicles provides the promptness and accuracy on investigating missing vehicles with a monitor and a personal computer and heightens utilization on preventing crimes using vehicles. CONSTITUTION: An unattended investigative method for missing vehicles comprises a display (1); an image-output unit (2); an image-input unit (3) for altering input analogue signals into digital signals and transmitting; a data bank (4) for filing datum from each program processing steps; a hardware composed of a lamp-input unit (5); a control unit (6) for connecting hardware and a personal computer programmatically; a patterning unit (7) for sampling certain patterns by detecting image-digital signals and altering into OCR (optical character recognition) data; a data retrieval unit (8) for checking the existence by patterned data and existing data in a data bank (4); images and datum filing unit (9) for altering digitized image signals and patterned datum into certain datum and filing in a data bank (4). This method provides that all moving vehicles in certain places are cognized with image signals and compared with the license plates of missing vehicles, thereby searching missing vehicles promptly and accurately without inspectors and preventing crimes using vehicles in advance. |
