摘要 PURPOSE: A method of compensating fuel in an engine control system of vehicle is provided to achieve an enhanced fuel efficiency, engine efficiency, and travel performance of the vehicle while allowing tuning of the fuel amount in accordance with a volatility of the fuel using a potentiometer. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of checking whether a potentiometer has an error and detecting a value of return voltage corresponding to a resistance value of the potentiometer preset according to a volatility of fuel, a second step of AD converting the value of return voltage so as to obtain a voltage converting value, a third step of checking whether the vehicle is in a crank mode and reading a multiplier value from a first lookup table corresponding to the voltage converting value, a fourth step of multiplying the multiplier value of the first compensation table and an air-fuel ratio of a crank fuel calibration logic, a fifth step of checking whether the vehicle is in a run mode and reading a multiplier value from a second lookup table corresponding to the voltage converting value, a sixth step of multiplying the multiplier value of the second lookup table and an initial decay factor of a run fuel calibration logic so as to obtain a fresh air-fuel ratio, a seventh step of checking whether the vehicle is in an acceleration mode and reading a multiplier value from a third lookup table corresponding to the voltage converting value, and an eighth step of multiplying the multiplier value read from the third lookup table and a charge temperature table value in an accelerating throttle position sensor logic and obtain a new accelerating fuel amount.
