CIRCUIT FOR SETTING DATA WIDTH OF MEMORY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A circuit for setting the data width of a memory device is provided to decrease the area of a memory device and to set data width according to the requirement of customers by forming a package and then forcibly programming outside. CONSTITUTION: To set the data width of a memory device, the memory device is set in a special mode through a signal generating unit of special mode(40). The memory device inputs a toggle signal into an address 12th pin in the special mode and a control signal generating unit(50) outputs signals for programming anti-fuses. A first programming signal is outputted by toggling the address 12th pin once and then the first anti-fuse is programmed. The second anti-fuse is also programmed by the outputted second programming signal of high potential through toggling of the address 12th pin one more time. A decoding unit(80) outputs a setting signal to have a certain data width with the output signals of first and second anti-fuse programming units(60,70).
