PURPOSE: A slide type switching circuit of a remote control is provided to check the status of a switch as an interrupt by using the output port of a microcomputer and to minimize the power consumption of a battery by using the standby mode of the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer(1) controls overall functions of a remote control. An oscillation circuit part(2) provides clocks having a required oscillation frequency to the microcomputer(1). A reset circuit(3) initializes the operation of the microcomputer(1). A light emitting display circuit part(4) displays the transmission status of the remote control. An infrared transmitting circuit part(5) transmits infrared rays to a main body provided with an infrared receiving part. A power source circuit part(6) supplies DC power to each circuit part. A plurality of test switch(Ts40-Ts42) and slide switches(S00-S04,S10-S12,S20-S22,S30-S32,S50-S51) are provided to check the status of a switch by an external interrupt using the output port of a microcomputer.
