PURPOSE: A method for compensating the wired link transfer delay time of the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) system automatically is provided to compensate the wired link transfer delay time between the base station and base station controller of the CDMA system in real-time. CONSTITUTION: A base station controller checks the quality of voice packets and transmits a transfer delay time request to a base station if, as a result of the check, the quality of the voice packets are less than a preset quality(ST11-ST15). If the transfer delay time request is transmitted to the base station, the base station records a time in a reverse packet to calculate the transfer delay time and transmits a response packet(ST31-ST35). If the response packet is transmitted, the wired link transfer delay time between the base station and the base station controller is calculated using the time recorded in the response packet and a transfer delay time parameter is adjusted to compensate the calculated transfer delay time in real-time(ST12,ST16-ST19).
