PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the vibration resistance and shock resistance of the coil component, to facilitate the assembly, and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: A coil component 1 is manufactured by fitting a coil main body, formed by winding a coil 14 around an insulating core cover 17 containing a core 15, to an insulating base having a terminal 9. The base part of the core cover 17 is provided with a flat plate type support part 3 and both the end parts of the support part 3 are engaged with the base 8 by the engaging mechanism composed of an engagement groove 4 and a projection part 10. This constitution secure the fitting of the core cover 17 and base 8 by fitting the protection part 10 in the engagement groove 4 to improve the vibration resistance and shock resistance of the coil component 1.
