PURPOSE: A high voltage generator controlled by refresh command is provided to disable high voltage in refresh operation, thereby removing current consumption unnecessary in the refresh operation. CONSTITUTION: A high voltage generator controlled by refresh command comprises first/second PMOS transistors(MP1,MP2), a high voltage controller(9), a normal/refresh driver(10), a latch(11), first/second inverters(12,13), a refresh sensor(14) and a refresh high voltage controller(15). The high voltage controller(9) is connected between a first node(N2) and a grounded terminal and is driven by two input signals. The normal/refresh driver(10) is connected between two nodes(N2,N3) and is driven by two address signals. The latch(11) is connected to between two nodes(N3,N4) to perform latch function. The inverters(12,13) are respectively connected between tow nodes(N4,N5) and to the node(N5). The refresh sensor(14) outputs refresh sense signals.
