PURPOSE: A method for managing trunk resources in an exchange, is provided to inform a subscriber processor of a call finishing signal by making agency of a main trunk processor, when a child trunk processor created by a call generation causes an error. CONSTITUTION: A method for managing trunk resources in an exchange, in child trunk processor generated by one call generation transmits a trunk occupying request message idled to a trunk interface according to a trunk occupying request message transmitted from a main trunk processor, connects speech path of inter-wide bands, to finish a call state after passing a specific time. The method contains steps. At the first step, the trunk interface transmits the call finishing signal to the main trunk processor, when the call state is ended. At the second step, the main trunk processor decides a state of the child trunk processor. The third step is to transmit the call finishing signal to the child trunk processor, if the state of the child trunk processor is decided to be normal. The fourth step is to transmit the call finishing signal to a processor of a subscriber part, if not normal.
