CALCIUM-ALUMINATE ADDITIVE FOR PRODUCING SUPER-CLEAN STEEL

PURPOSE: A calcium-aluminate additive is provided to be used for the treatment for controlling non-metal inclusion among aluminum deoxidized molten metal by being supplied to steel like general alloy iron. CONSTITUTION: An input additive(3) is melted in a ladle(1) by riding on a flow(6) of molten metal by foam(7) generating by argon gas injected via a lower injection nozzle(5). The calcium-aluminate(4) contained in the additive is separated. The separated calcium-aluminate absorbs alumina inclusion and flows into a slag(2) layer. Herein, removal effect of the inclusion is elevated. The molecular ratio of calcium oxide to oxidized aluminum in the calcium-aluminate is 1:1.
