PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction in an incomplete attaching state when a processing cartridge is inserted into an image forming device main body. SOLUTION: Relating to a processing cartridge, processing cartridge presence/ absence detecting means are connected to both a drum ground contact part 219 and a developing bias contact part 218 on the side of the image forming device main body, and the image forming device main body is made operable only when both detecting means detect the presence of the processing cartridge. The malfunction in the incomplete attaching state is prevented by this constitution. Reference voltage 209 is set to be higher than the reference voltage 207, and 210 in the figure shows an equivalent circuit.
