PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a frozen food where the color of a small piece of topping is vividly developed when being fried, to provide a method for producing the same food and to provide the fried food. SOLUTION: This frozen food is characterized by including small pieces of food (e.g. vegetables) eatable in a fried state in a part of moist coating material covering the whole surface of a food material to be fried for a coated and fried food such as a fry and then by freezing both the pieces (e.g. of vegetables) and the food material to be fried so as both pieces and the food material to be fried are integrally bound. The surface sides of the pieces of food are thinly covered with the coating material in such a way that the surfaces of the pieces are visible in a transparent state from the outside through the coating material. |
