PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scoop being preferably used for works or the like, in which soil is delved, and being preferably employed for works, in which mud, dust or the like is scooped up from a side ditch, a ditch or the like, and works, in which soil is scooped up and soil is thrown to a rear in excavation and gardening, while being preferably used for works, in which soil, dust or the like at various places is scooped up, and being proper to various works. SOLUTION: In the scoop, in which a scooping section 3 is installed at the front end 1a of a shank section 1, the scooping section is attached pivotally so as to be freely rotated to the shank section between the first place, where a scooping surface 3a is made approximately parallel with the shank section, and the second place, where the scooping surface is directed in the base-end 1b direction of the shank section. The shank section has a drawing line 9 for drawing the scooping section in the direction of the second place from the first place, and a return means 15 for returning the scooping section turned in the direction of the second place to the first place is disposed between the shank section and the scooping section.
