IMPROVED STABILITY OF WATER IN OIL TYPE EMULSION COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING L-ASCORBIC ACID AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A water in oil type emulsion cosmetic composition improves the function thereof by stabilizing the L-ascorbic acid for long term storage. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of water in oil type emulsion cosmetic composition comprises the following steps: (a) 2-hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin and purifying water are mixed in the ratio of 1:1 and then 1-8 wt.% of L-ascorbic acid is added and stirred at room temperature for about 12 hours to get L-ascorbic acid base composition; (b) L-ascorbic acid base composition is mixed with aqueous phase component containing 10-60 wt.% polyol to form an aqueous phase; (c) 2-4 wt.% of block copolymer nonionic surfactant, 1-2 wt.% of general nonionic surfactant and 1-5 wt.% of polyoxyethylene methyl polysyloxane copolymer are heated up to 65-75°C and dissolved to get emulsifying agent composition; (d) the emulsifying agent composition is mixed with oil phase component to form an oil phase; and (e) the aqueous phase and the oil phase obtained are mixed and stirred and then cooled.
