PURPOSE: A method for preparing the interior/exterior material and a composition using the interior/exterior material are provided, which material and composition are used for the old building. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing interior/exterior material for the old building comprises the steps of preparing the frame; making a fiberglass mat be alkali-resistant; coating the inside of the frame with the mixture which consists of 15-16 wt% of water-soluble vinyl acryl copolymer, 60-69 wt% of Portland cement and 21-25 wt% of water, laying the alkali-resistant fiberglass mat on the coating, and coating the mixture several times; curing the layered one inside of the frame; separating the frame from the layered one; and optionally polishing, coloring or coating the layered one. A fiberglass mat becomes alkali-resistant by spraying the solution on it, wherein the solution is obtained by diluting polyurethane rubber, succine vinyl or teflon with alcohols, acetone or methylethyl ketone in the ratio of 1:8.5 to 1:9.
