PURPOSE: A method for controlling an air flow of an air conditioner is provided to obtain an optimal air conditioning condition by controlling air flow and air flow direction as desired with a vane. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an air flow of an air conditioner includes the steps of determining whether a vane driving control key signal is applied from a remote controller when the air conditioner is in operating mode and the vane is operating(S11-S13), constantly operating the vane at a predetermined speed if the vane driving control key signal is applied from the remote controller for a predetermined time period(S14,S15), and stopping the operation of the vane if a vane driving control key signal is not applied from the remote controller after the constant operation of the vane, wherein the predetermined speed is a low speed below a normal speed(S16,S17).
