PURPOSE: A method for updating an additional service using an SMS(Short Message Service) is provided to update an additional service by using the SMS. CONSTITUTION: A method for updating an additional service using an SMS comprises the following steps. An additional service update signal generator transmits an update signal to an additional service update message storage portion. The additional service update message storage portion transmits a corresponding update SMS message to a message center. The message center transmits the corresponding update SMS message through a base station control center, a mobile switching center, and a base station to a terminal. The terminal transmits a confirmation message through the base station, the mobile switching center, and the base station control center to the message center.
