PURPOSE: A disposable lighter being lighted by switch press is provided to be lighted by allowing a sparking roller contacting with a fire stone emitting sparks to rotate by axial sliding of a sparking switch and then emitting a spark for igniting gas of the lighter. More particularly, the lighter is intended to solve the following drawbacks in a conventional lighter: In order to ignite a gas lighter, a sparking roller should be rotated by the bottom surface of a thumb while keeping the thumb in contact with the roller, so that the thumb may be stained with the particles adhered around the roller. Also, in case that the thumb is wetted, since the roller may be wetted by the thumb as well, ignition of the lighter may not be carried out. CONSTITUTION: A disposable lighter being lighted by switch press is provided, in which driving gears(4) are formed on axially opposing sides of a sparking roller(2) which contacts with a fire stone(10) and then emits sparks, the driving gears(4) are toothed with a spur gear(6) formed on a switch(12), whereby, upon the switch(12) starts to slide by press of thumb, the spur gear(6) forces to rotate the roller(2) and simultaneously lower end of the switch(12) press a push plate(8), so that emission of sparks and ignition to the lighter will occurs simultaneously.
