PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL ZEOLITES USING WASTE COAL ASHES AND HOT WASTE WATER GENERATED IN POWER PLANT

PURPOSE: A process for manufacturing artificial zeolites is provided, which utilizes waste coal ashes and hot wastewater generated from a power plant, thereby recycling waste heat & water. CONSTITUTION: A process is comprised of the next steps, using specially waste coal ashes and hot wastewater. Alkali materials are added into hot wastewater used as a cooling water in the power plant to obtain a solution of alkali reaction. The solution is added into a reactor with the waste coal ashes. The resulting materials are heated to a temperature of 100°C and stirred them for 6 to 24 hours to give the desired artificial zeolites. The alkali materials are characterized by selecting NaOH, KOH or Ca(OH)2. In addition, the concentration of the solution of alkali reaction is characterized by ranging 2.0 to 3.0 N.
