PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-fetch protocol on bus without accepting any bus use request of a master device which accept a pre-fetch request during the fetch period of a target device. SOLUTION: This pre-fetch device is provided with a bus arbiter 4 for arbitrating bus use requests inputted from plural devices connected to each other through a system bus 2. The bus arbiter accepts the bus user request and pre- fetch requests for reading data from the plural devices in advance from the plural devices to which priority orders are imparted, and preliminarily recognizes the priority orders imparted to the bus user requests and the pre-fetch requests and periods requested fro the fetch of the plural devices, and preferentially permits the pre-fetch requests based on the periods required of the fetch, and does not accept the bus use request from the device which accepts the pre-fetch request.
